MASTER PLANNING

What Should We Plan For?

CURRENT...

INTERMEDIATE...

LONG-TERM...

...Facilities are tools to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, disciple the saints,
and through multiple ministry avenues, meet the needs of those
inside and outside the body exemplifying the love of Christ.
 ...Glenn S. Davis

Our services are vast, and a detailed list of those services may be found under Available Services. One of the fastest growing and seemingly most advantageous services is Facility Master Planning for the Current, Intermediate, and Long-Term growth of the ministry. This typically entails establishing a multi-faceted service approach with multiple subdivisions within each facet. This results in a prudent, long-term, multi-phased Master Plan for the growth of the ministry facilities, which in most cases will approximate a "10 to 20 year growth pattern approach." While the needs vary from church to church, most often:

bulletWe evaluate the current facilities for efficient, user friendly ministry access and Long-Term ministry utilization.

bulletProcure the current ministry and numerical (people) statistics and work with the leadership to create numerical (people) growth projections for typically "ten (10) to twenty years (20) out."

bulletWe "create computer floor plan drawings of the existing facilities (and site) and the ministries therein." We "site/field verify," adjusting the computer floor plan model to establish the current conditions of the facilities and site (create computerized "floor plan as-builts.)"

bulletWe work with the staff, committees and other leadership designates in "Concepting/Programming the people/ministry growth projections" relative to the proper ministry facilities to handle that growth "for our youngest of children to the most senior adult" for the 1. Current, 2. the Intermediate, and 3. Long-term as well.

bulletWe then create a 10 to 20 year out Multi-Phase Master-Plan defining Current, Intermediate and Long-Term Ministry goals, and objectives. In essence, we determine total Square footage facility needs relative to the various ministry categories utilizing the numerical growth projection.

This Master Planning Process not only entails space planning for multiple ministries within the church inclusive of worship, Biblical education and training for all ages, but nurseries, fellowship/kitchen areas, offices, media/library areas, parking, access/egress, etc. We approach the process from striving to remove restrictive facility barriers and provide a user friendly ministry that is very accommodating for people to come to the Lord's House!

Note 1: These few brief examples of Master Plans outlined herein were performed for various churches within a three state area.  They are not labeled or defined as to the specific church due to the fact that most of these have either adopted the Master Plan and are now in a fund raising phase or actually in the first phase or subsequent phase of design and /or construction. We do not wish to have them inundated with calls from sales representatives, suppliers, contractors, etc., by listing their names and locations herein. We can, however, provide additional information of reference for these Master Plan projects, and more, as needed to our clients and potential clients.

Note 2: Also please note that the Master Plans outlined herein are not shown in their "total completion". The reason being, is simply that most of the Master Plans are from three (3) to five (5) phases with various sub-phases and it would be overwhelming and extremely cumbersome to the website to provide "all, slide by slide". We provide additional detail and more insight into the Master Plans in the presentation of our firm and our approach to the master planning process before the staff, committees, etc.
